Pattern: Terribly Simple, by Catlin ffrench (free Ravelry download)
Suggested Yarn: any fingering weight yarn
Suggested Needles: US 6 / 4.0 mm
This simple shawlette is one of my favorite non-sock ways to use up stashed fingering weight yarns. Simple increases on both ends of the shawl help grow it fast and adorably, and you can make the shawl as long as you'd like! I love to make it until I run out of yarn, giving a different size to each shawl I donate.
Shawls are a great (and under-represented) donation item - they can be used to keep your neck warm like a scarf, can be used to cover up while nursing or for religious modesty reasons, and can be pulled up over the head and face in extreme cold.
